Women's Retreat for Renewal

Welcome to A Spa for the Soul, a retreat for women who want to find their own direction, with compassionate guidance, while they deal with change. The retreat began as a safe haven for divorce recovery, and has evolved to include those in any kind of life transition. Many of our guests come to learn how to benefit from and embrace their new circumstances rather than struggle with them. Since the retreat program takes participants to the point of real change, it is especially helpful to those seeking clarity about the next appropriate step for their lives.

When and Where

A Spa for the Soul retreats are held regularly throughout the year. The following retreats are currently scheduled:

June 19-22, 2008 and September 4-7, 2008

Please check the site or call 512-472-6857 for any future retreat dates.

The four-day retreats begin on Thursday evening, and conclude after brunch on Sunday at noon.

Regularly-scheduled retreats are held at various locations in central Texas.  In addition, we will bring the retreat program to you if you want to put together your own group and make arrangements for facilities.

Retreats can be customized to fit the needs of a particular group.

Why

After life transitions, we need time to step back, reflect and remember who we really are. Most likely we are out of touch with the one who thinks, believes, and confidently decides. If you've tried to re-establish this connection in ordinary time, you know how difficult it is. Everyday life doesn't encourage this process. Where do you go when you need focused time outside the everyday? Where do you go to get away - without being alone? There are few real sanctuaries.

A Spa for the Soul is designed to offer a place where you can be with people who support you, guide you and understand what you're going through -- people who are objective and non-judgmental. We've been where you are now. We know that uncomfortable place where your notion of who you are is breaking up around you. That place where you wonder, "How will I accept what's happened? How will I make friends with it? What is next for me?"

If you're asking the questions, you're ready for the answers. The journey can turn the moment you realize you don't have to wait until everything "works out" to find joy. This is the invitation of A Spa for the Soul. We hope you'll join us.

Who Facilitates

Austin, Texas, family law attorney Jennifer Tull began the retreat program (originally called, “Ariadne's Thread”) 1998. After decades of experience representing clients in court, she felt moved to create an experience that encouraged women to feel strengthened by their relationship transitions rather than defeated by them. The program includes exercises that help guests:

·  Identify long-standing habits and evaluate whether they are still beneficial or helpful

·  Re-discover passion for life

·  Recognize what they want and move toward more fulfilling circumstances

Jennifer Tull has carefully assembled a team of nurturing professionals who provide a context for extraordinary transformation during the four-day retreats.  Team members for each customized retreat are selected to fit the needs and size of the group.

Each retreat also includes:

Massage Therapy Nothing can make you feel better than a soothing, therapeutic massage. Licensed massage therapists put you back in touch with your body and coax tense muscles to give way to blissful relaxation.

Yoga Instruction Our instructors teach a combination of gentle Kundalini and Hatha yoga, designed to get energy moving through your physical and subtle body. Yoga is a perfect way to rediscover the joy of moving, releasing and connecting with your body and spirit.

Meditation Instruction Mindfulness meditation may be the most effective tool you can use to create and maintain a life that feels joyful, productive and fully alive. Our introductory meditation instruction starts you on your way to a daily practice that promises life-changing benefits.
